As with anything, when designing sound it’s important to understand how the specific asset is being used in game. In this video I showcase some of the various SFX I have created for a varity of world effects that play in the game. It’s important to understand how they are being used, so you design a sound that compliments it’s usage. Whether it’s a big moment like a portal opening in the sky that drops enemies, or a small buff that plays on the player. Each sound takes working with the team who designed it to come up with a unique yet appropriate sound for each.
